U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant | Service-Connected Disabled Veteran
10 Years Active Duty Service | 1991–2002 | Advanced COR Level 2 Certified
Roberto J. Carmona is a United States Marine Corps Sergeant, service-connected disabled veteran, and formally trained federal acquisition professional. He served 10 years on active duty from 1991 to 2002, attaining the rank of Sergeant (E-5) and completing multiple Marine Corps Institute leadership, administration, and tactical training courses. Upon leaving active service, Carmona founded (XRB) Construction Services, LLC in 2003 — channeling the discipline, precision, and mission-focus of the Marine Corps directly into the construction and permit expediting industry.
Over the two decades that followed, he built one of the most comprehensively licensed construction firms in the Chicago market while simultaneously pursuing formal federal acquisition training at the highest levels of the U.S. government procurement system.
